Referrals
Share your own link to a job or refer someone by email, follow how far they get, and for recruiters and admins, see referrals by person and keep reward notes.

Open Hire › Referrals. Everyone in your organisation with Careers Orbit can refer people, whatever their role.
Referrals are in the Growth and Enterprise plans. People referred before a move to Starter can still apply through their link. See Plans and the trial.
Share your link
Each open job has Copy link. The link is your own: anyone who applies through it, now or later in the same visit, counts as your referral. Share it in a message, on social media or wherever you like. It works on your hosted career pages, on your own address and on your website through the Careers SDK. If you apply through your own link, it doesn't count.
Refer someone by email
Select Refer someone on a job and give Their name, Their email and, if you like, A note for them (optional) in your own words. The hiring team doesn't see the note. Choose the language under Email them in when your career site has several, then choose Send the referral.
They get an email from your organisation saying you recommended them, with your note and a link to apply. The email says that we only have their name and email address, from you, and delete them after 30 days if they don't apply. A link in the email deletes them at once. Change the email under Email templates (Someone referred you).
Nothing is added to Candidates until they apply. When they do, their application shows Referred by with your name, its source is a referral, and you get a notification.
Follow your referrals
Your referrals lists everyone you referred and where they are, in the words candidates see, such as Received, Interviews or Hired, or Asked to apply, Didn't apply and Said no thanks before they apply. You never see notes, ratings, scorecards or reasons for rejection. You get a notification when someone you referred is hired.
For recruiters and admins
Recruiters and admins also see:
- By person: how many people each colleague referred, how many applied, are in progress and were hired, and how many have reward notes.
- Every referral: each referral with its job, who referred them and the internal stage. Add a note keeps a reward note for your team, such as when a bonus was paid. The person who referred doesn't see it.
Admins can describe your referral reward at the bottom of the page, such as a bonus after six months. Everyone sees it at the top of the page.
Erasing a candidate also erases their referral.
