Notes, mentions and ratings
Leave notes for the hiring team, mention a colleague to let them know, rate candidates from 1 to 5 and ask colleagues for their feedback by a date.

Notes
Write a note at the top of a candidate's timeline and choose Add note, or press Cmd or Ctrl and Enter. Notes are only for your hiring team; candidates never see them.
To let a colleague know, use Mention or type @ followed by their name, such as @Ingrid Berg. They get a notification in Orbit's bell, and an email if they want one, with your note in it. You can mention anyone who can see the candidate.
Notes left by an AI assistant you connected are marked Drafted by AI and never mention anyone. See Connect an AI assistant.
You can remove your own notes. Admins can remove any note. Removing one is recorded in the audit trail.
Ratings
Everyone on the hiring team who may rate gives one rating per application, from 1 (not a fit) to 5 (excellent). Choose your stars on the profile; choose the same star again to take your rating back.
The profile shows the average, how many rated and who gave what. The board and the candidate list show the average.
Asking for feedback
Ask for feedback sends chosen people on the hiring team a notification asking them to rate the candidate by a date. Their request shows under Needs your attention on their overview. If they haven't rated by the date, they get one reminder. Rating the candidate completes the request.
When the job has interview kits, you can ask for a scorecard for one of its interviews instead. See Scorecards and interview kits.
