Indeed
Post jobs to Indeed through a feed with Indeed Apply, so candidates apply on Indeed and arrive in your pipeline with their CV and answers.
How-to guide3 min read
Careers Orbit sends your jobs to Indeed through a feed Indeed reads every few hours. Each job carries Indeed Apply, so candidates apply on Indeed without leaving it, and their application lands in your pipeline like any other.
What you need
Indeed only shows jobs from applicant tracking systems it has approved. Since 31 March 2026 it no longer shows jobs from single feeds for free when they could come through an approved system, so this approval matters.
| Step | Who | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Indeed partner approval and developer agreement | Bifröst Orbit | About six weeks |
| Indeed Apply credentials (client ID and secret) | Bifröst Orbit, from Indeed's Partner Console | With the approval |
| An Indeed employer account | Your organisation | A few minutes |
| Indeed's review of your feed | Indeed | Days to weeks |
Be aware: until Bifröst Orbit's approval is through, Indeed doesn't read the feed. The Job boards card says so, and you can prepare everything else.
Connect Indeed
- Open Job boards and find Indeed.
- Open Connection settings and enter the Indeed account email, the email address of your Indeed employer account. Indeed uses it to match the jobs to you.
- Enter the Indeed Apply client ID and Indeed Apply secret if you were given your own. If the hints say they are set for every organisation on this server, leave them empty.
- Choose Save, select Test connection, then turn Indeed on.
- Copy the Feed address and send it to Indeed once the partner approval is through.
What candidates see on Indeed
Indeed Apply asks for what your application form asks for:
- CV: required, optional or not asked, as on your form.
- Phone and cover letter: as on your form.
- Your questions: become Indeed's screener questions, with the same choices and the same required ones. Yes or no questions become a choice, and file questions become uploads.
Indeed can't ask for everything a form can. If an answer is missing, the application still arrives, so you don't lose the candidate.
When an application arrives
Careers Orbit checks Indeed's signature on every application, so nobody can send one pretending to be Indeed. The application then works like one from your career pages:
- It lands in the job's first stage with the source Indeed, the CV and the answers.
- It is recorded under your current privacy notice. Candidates on Indeed don't see your notice before applying, so ask your data protection officer how to inform them, for example in your confirmation email.
- Your automations run, so the candidate gets your confirmation email.
- The hiring team is notified.
If Indeed sends the same application twice, it is kept once.
Status
Indeed doesn't report back on feeds, so a job shows Waiting for the board until you select I've seen it live on the job.
