Pipeline stages
Set the stages every application moves through, with a name for your team and a name candidates see.
How-to guide1 min read
Every application moves through stages, from new to hired. Your organisation starts with six: New, Screening, Interview, Offer, Hired and Not taken forward. Admins change them under Pipeline.
Each stage has
- A name your team sees, such as Phone screen.
- A name candidates see, such as Being reviewed. The six standard stages show as Received, Being reviewed, Interviews, Offer, Hired and Closed. Candidates see it in their emails and their portal. Translate it with the language picker at the top; an untranslated name shows in your main language.
- A kind: new, screening, interview, offer, hired or rejected. Reports and automations use the kind, whatever you call the stage.
Choose Add a stage to add one, up to 20. Drag stages to change their order. A stage can only be removed once nobody is in it, and every pipeline keeps a new, a hired and a rejected stage.
Reasons for rejecting
Below the stages, admins keep the list of reasons the team chooses from when rejecting someone, such as Not enough relevant experience. Candidates never see the reason; reports count them.
Applications on a job
A job's Hiring room tab shows its applications in a column per stage, where the team moves them on. New applications land in the first stage. See The hiring room.
