Your notifications

New applications, mentions, replies, interviews, feedback requests, offers and job ads waiting for review show in the bell in Careers Orbit and Orbit. Choose which are emailed to you as well.

Everything Careers Orbit tells you about shows in the bell at the top, in Careers Orbit and in Orbit. Under Your notifications in the sidebar, you choose which are also emailed to you. The page shows the address the emails go to.

What you hear about

Candidates:

  • New applications for your jobs
  • Candidates reply to your emails
  • Candidates withdraw or add documents
  • Candidates ask to see, correct or erase their data
  • Candidates accept or decline an offer
  • People you referred apply, move on or are hired

Hiring team:

  • Someone mentions you in a note
  • You are added to a hiring team
  • Someone asks for your feedback on a candidate
  • Feedback you were asked for is due
  • Interviews you are part of are booked, moved or cancelled
  • Automations that notify you
  • Offers waiting for your approval

Job ads and boards:

  • Job ads waiting for your review
  • Reviews of your job ads
  • Jobs closing on their date
  • A job board rejects one of your jobs or can't take it

Everything else:

  • Candidates complete an assessment or video interview

Who gets what

  • A new application goes to the job's owner and hiring team. When the job has no team, every admin and recruiter hears about it.
  • Job ads waiting for review go to everyone who may review them, and the answer goes back to whoever sent the ad.
  • Replies, interviews, feedback and offers go to the people working on that job or candidate.

An application whose screening answers don't fit the job is still announced, with the note "a screening answer doesn't fit", so you can look before deciding. Careers Orbit never rejects anyone on its own.

Choose what is emailed

Each line on Your notifications has a switch. Turn it on to get an email as well as the bell. Most start switched on; Automations that notify you and Jobs closing on their date start off.

The choices are yours and only for this organisation. Your teammates choose their own.
