The bin

Jobs, job templates, departments, locations, email templates and automations you remove go to the bin, ready to restore. Only the owner can delete a job for good.

Reference1 min read

Removing something in Careers Orbit moves it to the Bin. Nothing is lost: a job keeps its text in every language, its application form and its applications.

The bin lists everything newest first, with what it is and when it was moved there.

  • Restore brings it back. Recruiters and admins restore jobs, job templates, departments and locations. A job that was live comes back closed, so you choose when it goes out again.
  • A job in the bin is off your career pages, your website and the sitemap at once.
  • Departments and locations can only go to the bin when no open job uses them.

Only your organisation's owner in Orbit can choose Delete for good on a job, and only once it has no applications: the job, its text in every language and its application form go, and can't be restored. Jobs with applications stay in the bin until the applications are erased. Candidates' data is never erased from here; it follows its own rules, so that erasure reaches files and connected systems too.

Email templates and automations go to the bin too, and only admins restore them. An automation comes back turned off, so you choose when it runs again.
