Set up your career site

Give your career pages your name, introduction, logo and colours, and see how they look before you save.

How-to guide2 min read

Your career site is how your organisation appears to candidates: on the hosted career pages, on your own website through the Careers SDK, and in the emails candidates get. Its settings live under Career site in the sidebar:

  • Look and content: the name, introduction, logo and colours, described here.
  • Address and website: where your hosted pages live and where jobs sit on your own website. See Addresses and your website.
  • Languages: the languages you offer and machine translation. See Languages and translations.
  • Job boards: where your jobs are published besides your career pages. See Job boards.

Admins can change them; everyone else can look. After the trial or plan ends, the career site is paused and its settings are read-only until an owner chooses a plan. Who emails come from, hiring rules, the privacy notice and integrations are under Settings.

Content

Open Look and content.

  • Name: usually your organisation's name, such as Northwilds, up to 80 characters. It is the hiring organisation in every job's data for Google for Jobs.
  • Introduction: up to 600 characters above your jobs, such as "We take people into the mountains of the north, in small groups and at an easy pace." Translate it with the language picker at the top of the page.

Brand

Drop your logo on the Logo field, or choose Upload to browse for it: a PNG, JPG or WebP image of up to 2 MB. Choose from uploads picks a logo your team has uploaded before, and Replace and Remove change or clear it. Then choose a Brand colour that reads well with white text. Buttons and the line under the header use the brand colour, on your hosted pages and in candidates' emails. The Accent colour is for small highlights; leave it empty to use the brand colour. The preview shows how it looks before you save.

Press Save changes at the foot of the page. Each page under Career site saves only its own settings. Open career pages at the top shows the result in a new tab.

When an owner or admin changes the organisation's name or logo in Orbit, your career site follows, unless you gave it its own name or logo here.
