Use Careers Orbit on your pages

Connect the space to Careers Orbit, then show open roles and featured jobs that stay current, with a link to apply.

How-to guide1 min read

When your organisation also has Careers Orbit, this space can show your open jobs on the website without copying them: you add a block, and every visitor sees the jobs open right now.

Connect the space

  1. Open Configuration › Orbit connections.
  2. Turn on the Career site on the Careers Orbit card. You need permission to change the space's settings.

Connecting adds two blocks to the block library under Careers Orbit, and Job and Job filter fields that developers can add to your own components.

Turning the connection off hides the blocks from editors. Pages that already have them keep the blocks, but they show no jobs until you connect again. Nothing is deleted.

The blocks

  • Open roles: the jobs open now, such as every Northwilds guide and shop job. Use Which jobs to show only one team, location or type, such as Guiding in Oslo, and How many to limit the list. When nothing is open, the block shows your Text when no job is open.
  • Featured job: one job you pick, with its team, location and pay and a button to apply. Leave Heading and Text empty to use the job's title and summary.

Pick a job

Choose a job from the list. It shows each open job with its team, location and type. A job you picked that has closed is marked in amber, and the website shows it as closed with a link to the open roles instead.

Always current

The page stores only which job or filter you chose. The jobs come from Careers Orbit each time the website asks, kept for at most a minute, so a new job appears and a closed job leaves the page by itself. The preview always shows the latest.
