Use Booking Orbit on your pages

Connect the space to a Booking Orbit location, then show services, free times and your team, and take bookings on your own pages.

When your organisation also has Booking Orbit, this space can take bookings on its own pages, without the booking widget: you pick a service, and every visitor sees its current price and next free time, and books it there and then.

Connect the space

  1. Open Configuration › Orbit connections.
  2. On the Booking Orbit card, turn on the location, such as Northwilds Oslo. You need permission to change the space's settings.

A space takes bookings for one location. Connecting adds four blocks to the block library under Booking Orbit, and Service, Services and People fields that developers can add to your own components. It also lets your website's domains book with the location, so nobody has to add them in Booking Orbit. Admins can also connect a space from Orbit connections in Booking Orbit.

Turning the connection off hides the blocks from editors. Pages that already have them keep them, but show nothing to book until you connect again. Nothing is deleted.

The blocks

  • Services: cards with each service's photo, length, price and next free time, such as boot fitting, ski service and climbing lessons. Leave Services empty to show every service. Choose a Booking page so the cards open your own booking page with the service chosen.
  • Book an appointment: the whole booking on the page: service, person, day and time, the customer's details and payment when the service needs it. Pick a Service to start with it chosen. Customers move or cancel their appointment on the same page.
  • Next available times: the next free times of one service, such as ski service. Each time opens the booking page with that time chosen.
  • Meet the team: the people who take bookings, with their photo, role and a few words. Leave People empty to show everyone.

Pick a service or a person

Choose from the location's services or people, and search by name. One that has since been hidden or removed in Booking Orbit is marked in amber and left out on the website until you pick another.

Always current

The page stores only which service or person you picked. Prices, photos and free times come from Booking Orbit each time the website asks, kept for at most a minute. The preview always shows the latest.
