Shops

An organisation can run several shops in Commerce Orbit. Each shop stands on its own, with its products, customers, orders, payments, address and settings.

Explanation2 min read

A shop is everything you sell under one name. Northwilds could run its main shop and a separate Northwilds Outlet for last season's gear, each with its own address, prices and Stripe account. Opening Commerce Orbit shows Shops, a card for each shop you can work in, with its orders in the last 30 days, its revenue this month, its live products and whether payments are set up.

What belongs to a shop

Nothing is shared between shops. Each one has its own:

  • products, collections, custom fields, price lists, discounts and gift cards
  • customers, companies and segments
  • orders, draft orders, returns and subscriptions
  • stock locations, stock, transfers and purchase orders
  • shipping, taxes, markets and shop addresses
  • Stripe account, MAM connection and carrier
  • email templates, API keys, webhooks, AI assistants and media
  • reports, audit trail and Bin

The organisation keeps the people and their roles, the plan and billing, and the sending domain for emails, which every shop uses.

Moving between shops

The menu at the top of the sidebar lists your shops. Choose one to open it, or All shops to go back to the cards. Each shop's pages live under its own address, so a link to an order always opens the right shop.

Shops in the Bin

An Admin can move a shop to the Bin from the bottom of its Shop settings. A shop in the Bin is offline: its hosted shop, checkout and APIs stop answering. Everything in it is kept. Restore it under Bin on the Shops page. Only owners can delete a shop for good, which erases everything in it.

The organisation's Audit trail lists shops added, binned and restored, and changes to people's roles and shops. Changes inside a shop are in that shop's own audit trail.

Plans

Starter includes one shop, Growth three and Enterprise as many as you need. Products and stock locations count per shop. See Plans and the trial.
