Collections
Group products into collections you fill by hand, or that fill themselves by rules such as a tag, vendor, price or stock, and choose their order.

A collection is a group of products, such as Tents, Winter boots or Everything for the Lofoten ridge walk. Websites show collections as lists and grids, the hosted shop gives each one a page, and a discount code can apply to the products in chosen collections. Editors and Admins can make and change collections.
Two kinds
| Kind | How products get in |
|---|---|
| Manual | You pick each product, up to 2,000, and can put them in your own order. |
| Rules | Products that match your rules join by themselves, and leave when they stop matching. |
Rules
A rule-based collection has up to 20 rules. Choose whether a product must match all of them or any of them. A collection with no rules is empty.
winterTentsNorthwildsGTX| Field | Ways to compare | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Tag | is, is not, contains | Tag is winter |
| Product type | is, is not, contains | Product type is Tents |
| Vendor | is, is not, contains | Vendor is Northwilds |
| Title | is, is not, contains | Title contains GTX |
| Price | is, more than, less than | Price less than €100 |
| Stock | in stock | Only products a shopper can buy now |
Text comparisons ignore capitals. Price compares each product's lowest variant price in your main currency. In stock counts a product when any variant is available, including variants that don't track stock or sell when out of stock.
For example, a collection called Winter sale with Tag is winter and In stock, matching all, keeps itself up to date as you tag products and sell out.
Order
Choose how the products are sorted:
- Manual: the order you set. Products you haven't placed come last, by title.
- Title, A to Z
- Price, low to high or high to low
- Newest, by when the product was added
- Best selling, by how many have been bought in the last 90 days, counting paid and invoiced orders only. Products that sold the same number come newest first. The numbers refresh every 10 minutes.
Pin products to the top
With any order except Manual, Pinned first puts chosen products at the top, in the order you pin them, and the rest follow the order you chose. Pin up to 50, such as this week's Lofoten offer above the best sellers. A pinned product only shows while it is in the collection: unpinning it, or a rule it stops matching, takes it out of the top.
Details
- Title and description, and their translations in your other languages
- Image: when you don't choose one, the first image of the first product is used
- SEO title and SEO description
- Address: the end of the collection's link, such as
tents - Status: Active collections show on the hosted shop, in the storefront API and in CMS Orbit; Draft ones only to your team
Only active products show in a collection on your website, even if a draft product is in it.
Saving a collection tells CMS Orbit, so website pages that show it refresh. See Show your products on your website.
Remove a collection
Move to bin puts a collection in the bin. The products in it are not touched. Restore it from the bin to bring it back as it was.
