Reports shows how your shop is selling. Everyone with access to Commerce Orbit can see it. Unpaid, failed and cancelled orders are left out, and refunds are subtracted.

Sales and best sellers

  • Sales by month: the last 12 months, in each currency you sell in.
  • The tiles: orders, sales, refunds and VAT for the dates you choose at the top, and gift cards sold and redeemed.
  • Best sellers and How customers paid, for the same dates.
  • Orders as CSV downloads the orders in those dates.

Gift cards in the figures

A gift card is money held for a customer until they spend it, so selling one isn't a sale yet. Sales, the monthly chart, best sellers, how customers paid and the customer groups below leave gift cards sold out, and count the goods when someone pays for them with a gift card. That way the same money is never counted twice.

  • Gift cards sold: what customers paid for gift cards in these dates, less any refunded.
  • Gift cards redeemed: what customers paid with gift cards in these dates. It is already part of sales, as the goods it paid for.

A customer's Spent, and the segments built on it, counts what they paid by card or on invoice, including gift cards they bought, and leaves out what they paid with a gift card.

Customers by first order

Each row is a month, with the customers whose first order was in it. A customer is their shop account, or their email address when they ordered as a guest.

  • Customers: how many first ordered that month.
  • Repeat: the share of them who have ordered more than once.
  • Average order: their orders' average, less refunds.
  • Month 1, +1, +2 and on: choose Customers who came back for the share of the row's customers who ordered in each month after their first, or Sales for what they spent in it. Month 1 is the month of the first order, so it is always 100% of customers.

The darker the cell, the more came back or the more they spent. Months that haven't happened yet are empty.

The sentence above the table gives the share of all these customers who have ordered again. The numbers are in your main currency. Orders in other currencies still count for when a customer first ordered, but not in the numbers, and the sentence says which currencies were left out.

A customer whose first order was more than 12 months ago is never counted as new, even if they come back now.
