Markets and their own addresses
Group countries that shop in one currency and language into markets, and put the hosted shop for each market on an address of your own, such as shop.northwilds.no.

A market is a group of countries that shop in the same currency and language, such as Norway in NOK and Norwegian, or Germany and Austria in euros and German. Each market can have the hosted shop on an address of its own. Markets are in the Growth and Enterprise plans, with multiple currencies. Admins can change them.
Make a market
- Add the currency and language under Settings first, and a price in that currency to your products. See Languages and currencies.
- Open Markets and select New market.
- Give it a name, choose its countries, its currency and its language, and select Save.
A country can be in one market only.
Give a market its own address
- Under the market, type the address, such as
shop.northwilds.no, and select Add address. Use a subdomain: the domain itself usually already points at your website. - At the company that runs your domain's DNS, add the CNAME record shown, from your address to
shops.bifrostorbit.com. If you can't add the CNAME yet, add the TXT record to prove the domain is yours. - Commerce Orbit checks every 10 minutes, or select Check now. DNS changes can take from a few minutes to a few hours to appear.
The market shows Live once the record is found and the certificate for the address is ready, which follows a few minutes after the CNAME.
What shoppers see
On a market's address, the hosted shop opens in the market's language and currency. Shoppers can still switch to any other language or currency your shop sells in. Carts, sign-in and checkout work as on the shop's usual address, and orders are the same orders in Commerce Orbit.
Emails about an order link to the shop's usual address.
Remove a market or its address
Select the bin next to the address to stop it showing your shop, or next to the market to remove it. Shoppers on the usual address see your main language and currency, as before.
