Connect an AI assistant

Let an assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT answer questions about your sites with your own numbers, read-only and within your rights.

How-to guide1 min read

An AI assistant that supports connectors (MCP), such as Claude or ChatGPT, can read Insights Orbit for you and answer questions like "how did the spring campaign do?" or "which pages lost visits from Google this week?" with your organisation's own numbers. AI assistants come with the Growth plan and up.

Connect one

  1. Open AI assistants under Developers in Insights Orbit and copy the address.
  2. In your assistant, add a connector or MCP server with that address.
  3. The assistant opens a page from Insights Orbit. Sign in to Orbit if you aren't, choose the organisation and select Allow.

What it can do

  • Read every site of the organisation you chose: visitors, visits, pages, sources, goals, funnels and what is worth a look, for any period and with the same filters as the reports
  • Nothing else: it can't add or change sites, goals or settings, and it never sees a single visitor or a known user

It reads for you: with your access, and only while you have Insights Orbit in the organisation. Numbers it repeats come from Insights Orbit, but what it writes around them is the assistant's own, so check anything you share.

Disconnect one

Under AI assistants, select Disconnect next to it. It stops at once. Admins see every assistant connected in the organisation and can disconnect any of them; everyone else sees their own. Connecting and disconnecting are in the audit trail.
