Your reviews on websites built with CMS Orbit
Show each location's reviews, rating and review page on a website built with CMS Orbit, with no widget and nothing to copy.
How-to guide2 min read
When your website is built with CMS Orbit, it shows your reviews with blocks of its own, styled like the rest of the site. Editors add them to any page in CMS Orbit; nothing is pasted in and nothing is copied.
Connect the website
In CMS Orbit, open the website's space, then Configuration › Orbit connections, and turn on Reviews in this space on the Presence Orbit card. Every location you have here can then be picked on the website's pages.
What the website can show
- Reviews: a location's newest public reviews with their stars, the reviewer's first name and initial, the date and a link to the site each came from. Editors can leave out lower ratings, show one site or one language, and show your published replies.
- Rating badge: the location's average rating and number of reviews.
- Leave a review: a button to the location's review page here, which offers every review site you use and a way to tell you privately.
For example, Northwilds shows each shop's reviews on its shop page, such as northwilds.com/stores/oslo/, and its Oslo rating on the gear page.
What goes to the website
Only what a review site shows anyway: the review's text, title, rating, language and date, the reviewer's first name and initial, and your published reply. Reviewers' emails, private feedback, notes, tags and follow-ups stay here. When a block leaves reviews out, the website says so, next to where the reviews come from, as the EU and UK rules on reviews ask.
Always current
The website asks for the reviews each time a page is delivered, kept for at most a minute, so a new review or reply shows up without anyone changing the page. Moving a location to the bin removes it from the website's blocks.
