Orbit is free for your whole organisation, with no limit on members. Once you are in, you can try each satellite, such as CMS Orbit, free for 14 days. You don't need a card.
Create your account
Free trials open soon. Until then, the website and the sign-in page say so instead of linking here.
- Go to bifrostorbit.com and select Start free trial, or open Start a free trial from the sign-in page.
- Enter your name, your work email and your organisation's name.
- Accept the terms and the privacy policy, and select Email me a code.
- Enter the six-digit code from your email.
You become the owner of your new organisation and get a welcome email. If the code doesn't arrive within a minute, check your spam folder.
Already signed in? Create another organisation under Organisations, or from Home with Create your organisation if you aren't part of one.
Set up your organisation
A short setup wizard opens straight away. Each step saves as you go, so you can leave and come back: a banner takes you back to it until it is finished.
- Organisation: check its name, and add your organisation's logo and your own photo if you like. Both are optional and can be changed later.
- Regions: add the countries or markets you work in, each with its time zone. Add at least one. See Add your regions.
- Team: invite people now, or later under Members.
- Satellites: choose a plan to try, Starter or Growth, and select Start free trial. For CMS Orbit the button reads Start free trial and set up a website. Or select Skip for now and start a trial later under Billing.
If you came from a satellite's trial button on bifrostorbit.com, that satellite comes first with the plan you chose. When more than one satellite can be tried, start one here and the others under Billing.
Set up your first website
Starting CMS Orbit's trial takes you into CMS Orbit, where a second wizard sets up your first website in four steps:
- Its name, and whether it starts from the Starter setup or Blank.
- The environments: Staging and Production.
- Which of your organisation's regions it serves, and the languages for each. The first language is the default.
- Optionally, the website's address, used for previews.
Select Create website and the website opens, ready for its first page.
During the trial
- Orbit shows a banner with the days left, and CMS Orbit shows a notice to everyone in the organisation. The banner fades after a few seconds, or close it with ×. It comes back once in the last three days.
- A live countdown shows on Home in Orbit, and a smaller one above your name in the CMS Orbit sidebar.
- Owners get an email three days and one day before the trial ends.
- Choose a plan under Billing whenever you are ready. If more than two days are left, you are not charged until the trial ends. See Plans and billing.
Each satellite can be tried once per organisation. When a trial ends without a plan, the satellite becomes read-only and websites stop being served until you choose one. Nothing is deleted.
If your email domain already signs in with Microsoft single sign-on, your organisation is already on Bifröst Orbit. Sign in instead, or ask your administrator to add you.
