Add and manage members
Add people to your organisation, choose their role and satellites, and remove them.
How-to guide2 min read
Open Organisations, choose your organisation, and stay on Members. Only owners and admins of the organisation can make changes here.
Add someone
- Choose Add member.
- Find the person:
- With Microsoft SSO on, pick them from your Microsoft directory. Only people with an app role on the Bifröst Orbit app in Microsoft are listed, and each shows the role that app role maps to.
- Otherwise, or for someone not listed, type their email address.
- Choose a role: Owner, Admin or Member. Only an owner can add another owner.
- Tick the satellites they can open.
- Choose Add member.
Someone picked from Microsoft starts with the role and satellites their Microsoft app role gives. You can change both before adding them.
Someone who has never signed in gets an invitation by email and shows as not signed in yet until they do. They sign in with any method your organisation allows.
What your plan allows
Orbit has no limit on members. Each satellite's plan sets how many people can open it: CMS Orbit Starter includes 5 and Growth 15. Everyone with that satellite ticked counts, including people invited who have not signed in yet. Members shows how many seats you use. When a satellite is full, you can still add people without it, or an owner can upgrade under Billing. See Plans and billing.
Change a role or satellites
Open the menu on the person's row and choose Edit. Saving keeps the access you set, even if their role in Microsoft changes later.
Remove someone
Open the menu on the person's row and choose Remove. They lose access to your organisation and every satellite it gave them the next time they load a page, including every role they had inside those satellites. Nothing they made is deleted, and you can add them back at any time.
You cannot remove yourself; ask another owner or admin. The organisation always keeps at least one owner.
Note
Someone who was invited but never signed in, and is then removed from their last organisation, is forgotten entirely. Inviting them again starts afresh.
