# Signing in

> Sign in with your work email, through Microsoft, Google or a code sent to you, and what to do when it does not work.

Source: https://docs.bifrostorbit.com/orbit/everyone/signing-in/

There are no Bifröst Orbit passwords. You sign in with an account you already have.

## On the main sign-in page

1. Enter your email and choose **Continue**.
2. If your organisation signs in with Microsoft or Google for your email's domain, you go straight to its sign-in page. Sign in with your work account there.
3. Otherwise Orbit emails you a code (see below).

Your email tells Orbit which organisation's sign-in to use, so the main page shows no Microsoft or Google buttons.

## With your organisation's sign-in address

Your organisation may give you its own sign-in address, such as `https://app.bifrostorbit.com/signin/acme-outdoors`. It shows the ways your organisation allows, such as **Sign in with Microsoft** or **Sign in with Google**, which take you straight to your company's sign-in with no email to type. Bookmark it.

## With Google

Use your Google Workspace work account, the one on your company's domain. Personal Google accounts, such as Gmail, cannot sign in, and Orbit says so if you pick one. If your work account is refused, your organisation may not have added your domain yet; ask your administrator.

## With an email code

1. Type your email address and choose **Continue**, or **Email me a code** on your organisation's sign-in address.
2. Open the email from Bifröst Orbit and type or paste the six-digit code. It is checked as soon as the last digit is in, with no button to press.

A code works once and expires after 10 minutes. If it has expired or not arrived, choose **Send a new code**; it counts down 30 seconds between codes, and a new code stops the old one working. To start again with another address, choose **Use a different email**.

If you ask for too many codes, the page asks you to wait 15 minutes before trying again.

## When your company requires SSO

Some organisations require SSO for their email domain, for example everyone at `example.com` must use Microsoft or Google. If yours does, an email code will not be offered for your address and you are asked to use your company's sign-in instead.

## Signed in but nothing to open

Anyone can sign in, but only an organisation can give you satellites. If Home shows none, ask an owner or admin of your organisation to add you, or check you used the same email address they invited.

## Signing out

Open the menu under your name at the bottom left and choose **Sign out**. You land on your organisation's sign-in page, ready for next time. If it is the wrong one, choose **Sign in another way**.
