# The Orbit app for iPhone

> Sign in to the Orbit app with your usual sign-in, choose which notifications reach your phone, and sign the app out from your account on the web.

The Orbit app shows what waits for you across your satellites, your notifications and search, on your iPhone. Tasks, notifications, search results and each satellite open as screens in the app, not as web pages. You approve or send back a task with a swipe. Only pages outside Orbit, such as a review on Google, open in Safari inside the app.

The app is being tested and isn't in the App Store yet. This page describes how it will work, so your account settings already show any app you sign in to.

1. Open the app and choose **Sign in**.
2. Orbit's sign-in page opens inside the app. Sign in as you do on the web, with Microsoft, Google or a code sent to your email (see [Signing in](/help/everyone/signing-in/)). If you are already signed in to Orbit in Safari, you may go straight through.
3. You are back in the app, signed in.

The app never sees your Microsoft or Google password. It stays signed in while you use it. If you don't open it for 60 days, it asks you to sign in again.

## Region and organisation

The app starts in the region you use on the web. Change it, or the organisation, in the app's settings. The choice is the app's own and doesn't change what you see on the web. Organisations, spaces, locations, shops, brands and sites show their logos, as on the web, or their first letter when they have none.

## Notifications on your phone

The app asks once whether it may send notifications. Then, in its settings, choose which ones reach your phone: all of them, none, or only some satellites, such as Booking Orbit and not CMS Orbit. The notification list in the app always shows everything, like the bell on the web.

The number on the app's icon is how many notifications you haven't read. Tapping a notification opens what it is about in the app.

## CMS Orbit in the app

Tap CMS Orbit on the app's home to see your spaces, with their live, changed and draft pages and what waits for you in each. In a space you can:

- **Review**: read what changed and the comments, then approve, or request changes with a comment. If the page publishes on approval, approving publishes it.
- **Publish**: publish a page or entry now, schedule it for later, or send it for review when it needs approval first. **Releases** lists what is planned, and you can publish a release straight away.
- **Pages and entries**: search, filter by status, open one, or create a new one with **+**. Text and photos show as on the page, other blocks as a short summary.
- **Edit**: change any page or entry, as on the web: every field, with a control made for the phone, rich text with headings, lists and links, and every block. Add blocks that fit, drag them into order, open blocks inside blocks, copy, paste, duplicate and delete, with undo and redo. The app saves on its own, keeps your changes while you are offline, holds the page so nobody overwrites you, and switches between the page's languages. Locked brand components stay locked. **Edit pages on your phone** in CMS Orbit's help has the details.
- **SEO**: see the score and the issues, write a missing title or description, or describe photos for screen readers. Other kinds of issue are fixed on the web.
- **Media**: browse recent files and folders, search, upload from Photos, Files or the camera, describe a file for screen readers, move it to a folder or to the bin (see [Media in the app](#media-in-the-app)).

Tasks, notifications and links about CMS Orbit open these screens in the app.

## Signed-in apps

**Your account** on the web lists each phone signed in to the app, with when it signed in and when it was last used.

To sign one out, such as a phone you have lost, choose **Sign out** next to it. It stops reaching Orbit at once and gets no more notifications. Whoever has the phone would need to sign in again, as you.

Signing out in the app does the same.

## Delete your account from the app

In the app's settings, choose **Delete account**, then **Send me a code**. Orbit emails you a code, as on the web, and you type it in the app. If you are the only owner of an organisation, make someone else owner first. Deleting your account also signs out every phone. Below **Delete account**, **Read the privacy policy** shows what happens to your data.

## Legal documents

The privacy policy, the terms of service and the other legal documents on bifrostorbit.com open in the app, so you can read them before you sign in: the links under the sign-in buttons open the privacy policy and the terms. In the app's settings, **Legal** has the privacy policy, the terms of service and **All legal documents**, with the date each was last updated and a PDF of all of them.

A link to another legal document opens it in the app, other links open in Safari inside the app. Share a document with the share button. The app keeps the last copy it read, so the documents still open without a connection.

## Booking Orbit in the app

Open **Booking** to see each location with today's appointments and how many requests wait to be confirmed. Choose a location for its day:

- Swipe an appointment to the right to check the customer in, or to the left to mark a no-show.
- Tap it for the details, to confirm, complete, move it to another free time or cancel it. Cancelling emails the customer, as on the web.
- **+** books a new appointment: choose the service, who it's with and a free time, then the customer.
- **Calendar** shows the day by person, or the week. **Customers** and **Waitlist** work as on the web.
- **Media** holds the location's images, as on the web (see [Media in the app](#media-in-the-app)).
- **Logo and cover**, at the bottom of the day, changes the logo and cover photo on the location's booking page. Only admins can change them.

What you can change depends on your role in Booking Orbit, as on the web.

## Presence Orbit in the app

Open **Presence** for your score, what needs you and the latest reviews. The inbox filters by what needs a reply, low ratings, replies waiting for approval and your own, and by rating, site and location. Swipe a review to mark it done.

On a review, choose **Reply**. If AI drafts are set up, **Draft with AI** suggests replies to start from. When your organisation asks for approval, the reply waits for an approver, who can approve it or send it back from the app. Follow-ups, the score with its trend, asking a customer for a review (the paper plane) and the organisation's **Media** are in the app too.

## Media in the app

Every satellite that keeps images has its media library in the app: a space in CMS Orbit, a location in Booking Orbit, a shop in Commerce Orbit, a brand in Travel Orbit and the organisation in Presence Orbit. Careers Orbit shows the images uploaded for your career site, such as logos, to people who manage the site.

- Browse the latest images or a folder, and search.
- Choose **+** to upload from Photos, Files or the camera. Photos are made smaller on the phone before they are sent, which saves your data and is plenty for any website.
- Tap an image to see its details, write its description for people who can't see it, move it to a folder or move it to the bin. You can restore it from the bin on the web.

Fields that take images, such as a product's images in Commerce Orbit or a trip's photos in Travel Orbit, open the same library to choose from or to take a photo on the spot. What you can change depends on your role in each satellite, as on the web.
