## Places

**Places** starts with a map of the world: the more visits a country sent, the darker it is. Hover over a country to see its visits, or select it to show only its visits. Below the map, a list shows the countries visits came from, with the five busiest regions under each one, such as England under the United Kingdom or Bavaria under Germany. Choose a country to see all of its regions, or a region to show only its visits.

The country and region are looked up from the visitor's address when the visit arrives, and the address itself is never stored. Regions are right less often than countries, and some addresses have no region, so the regions of a country may add up to fewer visits than the country. People on a VPN or a company network show where that network is.

## Languages

**Languages** lists the language each browser asks for first, such as English or German. Only the language is kept, not the country variant, so British and American English both count as English.

## Devices

**Devices** starts with a ring of the share of visits on a computer, phone or tablet, with the share on a phone in the middle. Below it are four lists:

- **Device:** computer, phone or tablet. Some tablets present themselves as computers, so the tablet share may be a little low.
- **Screen size:** how wide the browser window was when the page opened, in five sizes: phone-sized (under 600 pixels), tablet-sized (600 to 1,023), laptop-sized (1,024 to 1,439), desktop-sized (1,440 to 1,919) and large (1,920 and wider). The exact width is never stored.
- **Browser:** such as Chrome, Safari or Firefox.
- **System:** such as Windows, macOS, iOS or Android.

Select any row to show only those visits in every report.
