# The audit trail

> See who changed products, collections, orders, customers, codes, settings, Stripe, MAM, keys and roles, and when.

The audit trail lists the changes your team makes in Commerce Orbit, newest first and grouped by day: who did it, what changed and when. Times are in UTC. Only Admins see it, under **Audit trail** in the sidebar.

## What is recorded

- **Products:** added, imported from MAM, changed, published, unpublished, archived, duplicated, moved to the bin, restored and deleted for good
- **Collections:** added, changed, moved to the bin, restored and deleted for good
- **Orders:** sent, refunded with the amount, cancelled with the reason, invoices marked as paid, sent to MAM again and entered in MAM by hand
- **Customers, companies and price lists:** added and changed, and companies linked to or unlinked from MAM
- **Discount codes:** added, changed and removed
- **Locations and shipping zones:** added, changed and removed
- **Settings:** every save, including taxes
- **Stripe:** connecting, with any missing permissions, and disconnecting
- **MAM:** settings changed, switched on and off, and syncs run by hand with their result
- **Email templates:** added, changed, translated, reset, moved to the bin and restored
- **Media:** images uploaded, changed, moved to the bin, restored and deleted for good
- **AI assistants and API keys:** assistants connected and disconnected, keys created, renamed, revoked and removed
- **Roles:** changes to people's roles in Commerce Orbit

Some entries have a line of detail under them, such as the amount of a refund or the part number of an imported product.

## What is not

Reading orders and reports is not recorded. What shoppers do, payments through Stripe and what Commerce Orbit does by itself, such as cancelling an unpaid order, scheduled MAM syncs and orders sent to MAM, show in each order's history and in the MAM sync log instead.

## Find a change

- **What changed:** show one kind of change, such as **Orders** or **Settings**.
- **Who:** show the changes one person made.

The trail shows the latest changes first; load more to see older ones.

Changes an [AI assistant](https://docs.bifrostorbit.com/commerce/everyone/ai-assistants/) makes show the person who connected it and the assistant, such as "Ingrid Berg via Claude".
