# Services

> A service is something customers can book, such as a boot fitting or a ski service. Set its length, the free time around it, its price, who takes it and what it needs.

Each location has its own services. Customers choose one on the booking page, then a time.

## Add a service

1. Open **Services** and choose **New service**.
2. Give it a name and a short description, such as "Boot fitting: we measure both feet, try three pairs and adjust the fit while you walk the ramp".
3. Choose the **Length**, and any time to keep **Free before** and **Free after** it for getting ready or writing notes. Customers never see that time, but the next booking can't start inside it.
4. Set the **Price**: free, fixed, from a price, or on request.
5. Under **Who takes it**, tick the staff who do it. Leave **Any free person** on to let customers pick "Anyone", and choose how Booking Orbit picks:
   - **Take turns** gives everyone a fair share.
   - **Least busy** picks whoever has the fewest bookings that week.
   - **In order** picks the first free person in the order under Staff.
6. Choose **Add service**.

## Online services

Choose **Online** or **Customer chooses** under **Where**, and pick Google Meet, Microsoft Teams or Zoom. Each booking then gets its own meeting link once a calendar is connected under **Calendars and meetings**.

## Group sessions

Set **Group size** above one to make a group session, such as a map and compass evening for eight people. The first booking makes the session, and others join it until it is full. Group sessions are in the Growth plan and up.

## Rooms and equipment

If a service needs the fitting room or the ski service bench, tick it under **Rooms and equipment**. With several, choose whether it needs **All of them** or **Any one of them**. See [Resources](https://docs.bifrostorbit.com/booking/everyone/resources/).

## Who sees it

- **On the booking page** lists it for everyone.
- **With a link** keeps it off the list, for customers you send the link to.
- **Team only** means only your team can book it, from the calendar.

## Copy or remove a service

Open the service and choose **Make a copy**: the copy starts as Team only so you can change it before customers see it. **Move to the bin** takes it off the booking page. Appointments already booked keep their time, and you can restore the service from the bottom of **Services**.
